Here's how it works: All staff members in your office receive their own individual dosimeter badge, to be worn at all times while at work. Each badge is punch-coded with a unique ID number. Every three months, you will receive new replacement badges in the mail, along with a reply envelope for returning the old badges. The old badges will be processed and you will be sent a printed report for your records. If any badge you return ever shows exposure in excess of NRC safety standards, you will be notified immediately by phone.
The Dosimeter Radiation Badge is small and light and clips to clothes or can be worn on a cord. Badges are punch coded and have control numbers for easy tracking. You will receive accurate reports performed by a TLD reader that's equipped with a micro-computer which controls QA functions to assure an accurate reading.
